Authors (or wannabe Authors) Wanted

Shasta Lake Heritage & Historical Society is collaborating on a book with Anderson Historical Society entitled "WHY CAN'T I?" (empowered women of Shasta County).  Below are a list of names being considered. Please let Ron Jolliff know at rajolliff@gmail.com or Darlene Brown at slhandhs@gmail.com if you would like to commit to this project. The articles will be 2 - 6 pages long, including photographs. A rough draft will need to be submitted by November 15, 2022. The women suggested were from the 19th & 20th century. The names already selected or being considered are annotated in red by the organization/name. With an * means the name has an author already. Other societies and tribal entities have been invited to participate. It should be an interesting and worthwhile project. March is "Women's History Month" and our goal will be to release the book in March 2023. Please contact us if you are interested.
